We're just finalising a few minor details before we release the entry forms etc.

It looks like it will be starting from Fulford village hall, Nr Blythe Bridge on Sun 25th October.

Entry will be around the £10 mark and the format will be similar to the 'hell of the north cotswolds' & the 'Mold' challenge rides, as in these are not races, but do offer a good way to build up some stamina and miles in a time of year when a lot of people find it hard to stay motivated. There will probably be one or two checkpoints on route and we may put the option of either 50mile or 30mile routes to suit. It doesn't sound a lot of miles compared to a road sportive etc, but the off road sections will slow your pace down (along with the hills!!) and put a big grin on your face as you'll do some local trails you may not have ever done before.

Will keep you posted.

Just a heads up: Now would be a good time to join British Cycling, if you join as a new member, i.e. you've never been a member before, you will get free Bronze membership (yes free!!) Silver membership is discounted along with Gold. Take a look at the link below as this carrys great benefits to you as a cyclist, i.e. Bronze carrys a free provisional racing license. (you'll need this to do BC road races for the license number) Put your club down as 'Team Goldtec' as we are now ... as you know affiliated. Here's the link: http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/web/site/BC/Bridge/Membership_Start.asp

Daz.

Howdo all,

Time for change... after much thought and consultation with a select few and Kev from Goldtec we've decided to make the link between Stoke MTB and the website along with Goldtec a little more official. This is we think a good & logical move for us all and will help to make a stronger club, also we'll be making it more of an all round cycling club incorporating all disciplines of cycling - mtb, road and tt , this will bring us all under the umbrella of Goldtec - along with being affiliated to British Cycling (as now) and the Time Trial Council (in progress now) Anyway we'll be making some changes & sprucing things up here soon, so keep you eyes peeled for more news soon & please be patient while we ring the changes!

Another thing... all you Goldtec riders please make use of the forum and air your views opinions etc.
